An aviation professional to his core, Graham brings a lifetime of airline knowledge and expertise to POP as one of its original founders
After a five-year graduate apprenticeship with British Aerospace, culminating in the award of an MSc in Aircraft Design/Air Transport Engineering from Cranfield University, Graham spent four years in Management Services with British European Airways/British Airways and 18 years in Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific Airways’ sister company, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO).
Whilst with HAECO, he was responsible for a variety of engineering activities before spending six years heading the Marketing Division, during which period he travelled extensively to airline clients and industry contacts across five continents, particularly in South and East Asia, China, the Middle East and the USA. He moved on to oversee five years of high growth for HAECO as Managing Director.
Returning to the UK in 1990, Graham founded an aviation services and consulting group and led consulting teams in diverse locations – Ireland, South Africa, Slovakia and Saudi Arabia – as well as blue chip UK aviation companies, including British Airways, Virgin, Rolls-Royce, KLM and AirUK.
He was employed at VP level in international business development roles by British Airways at Heathrow, Volvo Aero Engine Services in Stockholm, Singapore Technologies-Aerospace in Brussels and United Technologies in Connecticut, USA.
As one of the original founders of the project – along with Nino Judge and Bobby Bhakar – Graham has worked pro bono on the project for the last few years.
