Regulatory Compliance Officer
Adrian comes with a wealth of Regulatory and Airline engineering experience, having recently left the CAA after 15 years as a Senior Airworthiness Surveyor. Adrian started his career working for BAe & Airbus as Technical Representative. Adrian then took up airworthiness roles working for Air 2000, Fly Colours, JMC and finally Thomas Cook - continuing his Airbus experience in operating the A320 and A330.
As an Airworthiness Surveyor for the CAA, Safety Regulation Group, he was responsible for oversight and compliance of all maintenance management aspects of the AOC as required both by the CAA UK & EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).
Adrian comes to Flypop with a wealth of Regulatory and Airline experience, having recently left the CAA as a Senior Airworthiness Surveyor, completing 15 years with the UK Regulator. Starting as an Engineering Apprentice at BAe (British Aerospace Aircraft Group) in 1981, then going on to work both for BAe and directly for Airbus Industrie - based in France and around the World - as Technical Representative supporting worldwide airline customers. Embedded in a number of major World Airlines, including Lufthansa whilst based in Germany and ANA (All Nippon Airways) in Tokyo. In the time being part of the launch and EIS (Entry into Service) of A320, A321, A330 and A340 aircraft.
After which Adrian took up continued airworthiness roles working for a number UK airlines (Air 2000, Fly Colours, JMC and finally Thomas Cook) - continuing his Airbus experience in operating the A320 and A330, but also gaining fleet experience of the Boeing B757.
Bringing a wealth of regulatory knowledge, together with fleet engineering experience before joining the CAA, he has been exposed to the complexities and requirements to gain, hold and manage an AOC. As an Airworthiness Surveyor working for the CAA, Safety Regulation Group, he was responsible for oversight and compliance of all maintenance management aspects of the AOC as required both by the CAA UK and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), in accordance with the Requirements of Pt.M.
Now holding the role of Regulatory Compliance Officer with the management team of Flypop, Adrian is well placed to navigate us through this complex world.

He then ran the Tiger Airways joint venture in South East Asia with SIA. He was invited to join Webjet, a struggling Brazilian airline at the start of 2010 before an Industry Sale to Gol in 2011.
